Fight over parking issue claims man`s life

LAHORE: An auto-rickshaw driver died in a physical brawl with his neighbour in Misri Shah on Thursday.

Police said Umar Hayat, father of three, used to park his rickshaw outside his home in the street.

On Thursday, his neighbour Javed stopped him from doing so, which led to a brawl. Umar suffered chest wounds and died on way to hospital. Javed fled the scene.

Police sent the body to the city morgue for autopsy and lodged a case against Javed.

FOUR INJURED: An armed clash between two rival groups in Samanabad on Wednesday left fourpeople, including three brothers, injured.

According to police, the clash erupted between two local groups of PML-N.

The rivalry between them had started in the local body elections, the police said adding that on Thursday members of these parties, including Hassan, Sarfraz, Bashir and Majid first quarrelled and then exchanged ñre which lasted for two hours or so near Masoom Shah Graveyard, creating panic in the vicinity.

Police said four people, including three bothers namely Hassan, Sarfraz and Sohail, suf fered multiple bullet wounds.

They all were shifted to local hospitals where condition of Sarfraz is said to be critical.people, including three brothers, injured.
