Conference on Quranic studies concludes

three day National conference on `Status of Quranic Studies in Pakistan` concluded here on Thursday at Faisal mosque campus of Intemational Islamic University Islamabad (IlUI). More than 40 scholars and Islamic researchers from across the country participated and delivered lectures.

They discussed role of various institutions in Quranic understanding and other vital topics.

In his presidential address at the opening ceremony of the conference, President IlUI Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh said Quran was the source of unity of Muslim Ummah which guides all Muslims to take guidance for solution of problems. Guidance from Quran is vital when we have to have dialogue with the nations of the world, he added.

He stressed that appropriate opportunities of Quranic understanding should be provided to the youth and added that present conference was a good example for the achievement of this goal llUI Spokesman Harran Khattak said that Rector llUI Dr Masoom Yasinzai delivered concluding speech on the final day in a nutshell saying `Ouran is complete code of life for Muslim Umma`.

Earlier, on the first day of the event, President inaugurated a Quran exhibition where rare manuscripts, calligraphic work and Islamic research thesis were exhibited.
