ISLAMABAD: Capital police arrested a man for his alleged involvement in motorbike snatching and recovered eight vehicles from him, police said on Thursday. Inspector General of Police Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan took note of the rising number of bike theftincidentsin differentparts ofthe city and directed staffto take action.

Station House Officer Koral made efforts to trace bike thieves and succeeded in nabbing the ring leader of a gang involved in bike theft.

Police said he confessed to stealing motorbil(es in differentparts ofthe city.

Police recovered eight motorbikes; including seven which were stolen they were registered.

Police have obtained a three-day physical remand from court and further investigation is in progress.
