One injured, Rs3.7 million looted in four strikes

LAHORE: Gunmen injured a motorcyclist and looted cash and valuables worth Rs3.7 million in four major strikes in the provincial capital on Thursday, police said.

Two gunmen held Javed and his sister near Almiraaj Chowk in the Sabzazar police jurisdiction and snatched his motorcycle.

The suspects also shot at and wounded Javed who offered resistance.

Three robbers riding a car held Ali Jawad in his car near Allah Hu Chowk in the Township police jurisdiction.

Two of them held him hostage and took him to Jambar where they deprived him of cash and a mobile phone, and his car worth Rs2.4 million.

Four gunmen barged into the house of Sibtain in Taj Bagh and took away cash and valuables worth Rs900,000.

Four robbers entered the house of Najmul Haq in PBlock, Johar Town, in the Nawab Town police jurisdiction and fled after looting cash and valuables worth Rs300,000.

SHOT DEAD: A woman was killed after her brother opened fire on her in Kot LakahpatonThursday.

Police said Faryad shot at Faheem Kausar, 26, at home and fled.

Quoting neighbours, the police said the brother and sister indulged in confrontations many times.

Police said investigation had been launched to establish the motive for the shooting.
