Some ministers, not PML-N, becoming risk to federation: Chandio
2016-11-14
HYDERABAD: Adviser to the Chief Minister on Information Maula Bux Chandio has said that he has never termed the Pakistan Muslim LeagueNawaz (PML-N) a `national security risk` as he was quoted as saying during a programme organised by the Pakistan Baitul Mal Employees Welfare Association at Sindh Museum on Saturday evening.
In a statement issued here on Sunday,Mr Chandio said he stood by his statement that `some ministers of the ruling party [PML-N] are becoming a risk to the integrity of the federation`. Statements of such ministers, he added, were creating a sense of deprivation among smaller provinces. Mr Chandio said that an ideal federal government would always take care of smaller provinces.
The adviser repeated his claim that some of `Mian Saheb`s [Prime MinisterNawaz Sharif`s] ministers are working against their own party and he must try to detect them`. He advised PML-N ministers to adopt a federalist approach.
Mr Chandio said that the part of his statement [regarding national security risk] was quoted out of context and had nothing to do with facts.
He said his party [Pakistan Peoples Party] believed in federation.
