TRARKHAL: Closely following up their advance, supported by armour and aircraft, Indian troops have been consolidating their gains in various parts of Kashmir, writes an Azad Kashmir Army observer reviewing operations in Kashmir. Lately, they have strengthened their forces and put in fresh troops in Poonch-Uri and Tithwal sectors and their columns have moved up from Zojila towards Kargil where they have entrenched themselves and are carrying out reconnaissance patrolling on the outerfringes.

According to the latest information the Indian column in Zojila has been strengthened considerably. Skirmishes, initiated by Indian troops, take place between the enemy and the Azad forces almost every day. The Azad forces have so far not done any attacking.
