Rally against grabbers for razing houses

TOBA TEK SINGH: Scores of people, including women and children, of about 100 families in Chak 408-JB staged a rally on Wednesday against land-grabbers for allegedly razing their houses and torturing them.

The rally was led by PML-N MPA Mian Muhammad Rafiq.

The MPA said revenue officials had conducted a survey in 2012 and deleted names of residents showing them occupants of a katchi abadi, although they had been living there for 40 years.

He said he would raisethe issue in the next session of the Punjab Assembly.

KIDNAPPED: A 12-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped in Pirmahal on Wednesday.

The victim`s father told police his daughter had gone to school in B Plot locality from where she was kidnapped. Police were looking into the matter.
