SA RGODHA: The Sargodha Saddar police seized a cache of narcotics and Kalashnikov from a man wearing police uniform in Sargodha on Tuesday.

According to the police, Sadar Station House Officer Azmat Joya was alerted that a police of ficer was transporting narcotics in a car (LED-8226). He raided the dera of Abid Hussain Saidowana where he found wearing police uniform.

The police seized 4 kilogramme charas, a kalachinkolv with magazine and the car. The police registered a case.

Preliminary inquiries show Abid would transport narcotics in the disguise of a police officer.

Earlier, a driver of a sub-inspector was arrested by Bhagtanwala police last month for using the uniform of his master.

District Police Officer Ammara Athar has suspended a sub-inspector and removed number of police volunteers from service for misusing uniform. She has also directed to prepare list of police officers having any link with criminals.
