Four held for bid to get PR constable jobs thru` fraud

LAHORE: Pakistan Railways (PR) police on Tuesday arrested four suspects for attempting to get recruited as constables throughfraud andforgery during the process for recruitment of 250 constables.

As per a PR spokesperson, two of the suspects, Ali Raza and Hasnain Ali, prepared fakerollnumber slips for the physical examination of candidates held at Sagheer Railways Police Lines, Lahore.

Another suspect, Zohaib, impersonating a candidate, Waqar Abbas, reached Railways Police Training School,Walton, to take part in the running test, the fourth suspect, Adeel, provided wrong information on the application form.

However, the fraudsters were exposed when Railways police employees checked the computer data and record register for verification.

The spokesperson says Ali Raza and Hasnain Ali have confessed to have prepared fake roll number slips and a case has been registered against them at the Railways police station.

He says investigation has also been launched against Zohaib and Adeel, while the former has confessed to have impersonated the original candidate.

DC: Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza on Tuesday inspected various development schemes under the Lahore Development Plan. He, according to a spokesman, visited various schemes where the work is underway these days. Staff Reporter
