HYDERABAD, Feb 14: A three-year-old boy died from post-measles complications on Thursday at the Liaquat University Hospital (LUH) Hyderabad branch, raising the death toll blamed on the epidemic since Jan 1 to 12.
Focal person of LUH Dr Rasheed Akhtar Memon confirmed the death of threeyear-old Dewan, son of Satram Manghwar, resident of Hanj Tal village in Chhachbro taluka in Tharparkar district.
He was admitted to hospital on Wednesday.
Dr Memon said that a total of 95 patients had been reported in both LUH Hyderabad and Jamshoro branches.
He said 12 had died, 79 had been discharged after treatment while three were admitted to the isolation wards of the Hyderabad branch and one in the Jamshoro facility.
