ISLAMABAD: Journalists, friends and family mourned the tragic death of Huma Choudhry, an Islamabad-based photojournalist, who passed away on Saturday.

Ms Choudhry, 30, had just arrived back in the country from an assignment in the UAE. According to friends and family, she had complained of food poisoning, but died after being taken to hospital. The exact cause of death is not yet known.

Ms Choudhry had been working as a photojournalist for the daily Express Tribune since 2014 and could be regularly spotted in the field, covering everything from art exhibitions to protest rallies.

News of Ms Choudhry`s passing came as a shock to all those who knew her. Her funeral prayers will be offered at the Sagheer Mosque in F-10/4 around Zuhr prayers.
