FATEHJANG: The tehsil municipal administration, Fatehjang has failed to remove encroachments and illegal Suzuki pick up and bus stands from main chowk from where the buses for Multan, Karachi, Banu, Kohat, Attock, Peshawar and Rawalpindi pass.

As a result the area has not only become impassable, but a point where traffic accidents have become a routine.

This was said by Fatehjang Citizen Forum President Muhammad Moneer Butt while talking to newsmen on Saturday.

He said being a junction city, Fatehjang was bearing a load of heavy traffic causing traffic jam especially on main chowk for hours.

Muneer Butt explained on the other hand that unauthorised bus stands and encroachments also cause traffic jam on various other roads.

Butt demanded the District Coordination Officer (DCO) Attock and Commissioner Rawalpindi Division look into the matter and direct the town municipal administration to remove the encroachments and unauthorised bus stands from the main road of the city so that people could move freely.
