LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday transferred 22 district and sessions judges (D&SJs)inPunjab,including anti-corruption court judge Sardar Iqbal Dogar who recently acquitted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz in the Ramzan Sugar Mills case, and was also hearing a case against former CM Pervaiz Elahi.

LHC registrar Abher Gul Khan issued a notification of the transfers following an approval from Chief Justice Aalia Neelum.

D&SJs Javed Iqbal Baloch has been transferred and posted from Nankana to Lahore, Qamar SultanfromVehari to Sargodha, Chaudhry Muhammad Tariq Javed from Kasur to Chakwal, Shaukat Kamal from Lahore to Gujranwala, Zubair Shehzad Kiyani from Lahore`s accountability court to Narowal, Muhammad Abbas from Sargodha to DG Khan, Syed Asghar Ali from Multan to Mianwali, Muhammad Akram from DG Khan to Rawalpindi, Shahzad Hussain from Sargosha to Pakpattan, Sardar Muhammad Iqbal Dogar from Lahore ACE court to Vehari, Gulzar Ahmad Khalid from Gujranwala to Nankana Sahib, Abid Rizwan Abid from Multan to Kasur, Nasir Hussain from Multan to Rajanpur, Ali Nawaz from Rawalpindi to Multan, Shahid Islam from DG Khan to Bahawalpur, Muhammad Ijazur Rehman from Narowal to Lahore, Javed Iqbal Warraich from Gujranwala to Lahore, Sadiq Masood Sabir from Chakwal to Lahore, Asim Mansoor from DG Khan to Lahore, Muhammad Sarfraz Akhtar from Bahawalpur to Lahore, Khawar Rashid from Rajanpur to Lahore, and Muhammad Arif from Pakpattan to Lahore.

According to the notification, most of the transferred sessions judges have been directed to assume their new responsibilities by Feb 17, while some have been instructed to join their new posts by March 3.
