SARGODHA: Police arrested faith-healer Humaira along with her father Azizur Rehman who had set a sick woman to fire after soaking her with petrol on the pretext of relieving her from the influence of evil forces.
The culprits initially managed their escape but were arrested on Thursday.
DPO Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf said that the suspects involved in this heinous offence will ensure exemplary punishment from the court of law.
JAILED: The chairman drug court in Sargodha sentenced an owner of a drug store adjudged guilty of selling and distributing ille-gal and unregistered medicines to four years in prison with hard labor and a fine of Rs 40 million.
Convict Asif Aziz arrested on the spot and sent to jail to face the sentence.
As per prosecution, Faheem Zia, Deputy Drugs Controller, Sargodha, filed a detailed challan against Aziz, a resident of Shahpur, for selling illegal medicines in the court for further action.
The chairman and judge ofdrugcourtSyed Khalid Javed Bukhari announced the verdict on Thursday in the light of evidence and witnesses account.
Asif Aziz was awarded four years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 40 million.
