LAHORE: The Punjab Dental Association has urged the authorities to ensure that no quack gets registration under the Punjab Healthcare Commission.

`Some dental technicians, hygienists and assistants have applied for registration with the Punjab Healthcare Commission.

Theycannotdosounderthe Pakistan Medical and Dental Council rules. They can only assist a registered dental surgeon,` the association said in a meeting here on Monday.

It praised the healthcare commission for launching a campaign against quacks.

The meeting was attended by Dr Irham Chohan (president), Dr Rana Zafar (secretary), Prof Dr Wahidul Hameed and Dr Ghazanfar Malik.
