LAHORE: International scholar Dr Umar Abd Allah has said that purity of heart is everything in Sufism.

He was delivering keynote address at the International Sufi Conference on Monday at Punjab Institute of Language, Art and Culture (Pilac). The conference was organised by the Punjab Institute of Language, Art and Culture.

Dr Umar said Sufism was a huge responsibilitythrough which the message of peace and tolerance could be spread.

A documentary was also screened on the occasion based on the theme of Sufism.

Earlier, Pilac Director Dr Sughra Sadaf said the conference was aimed at spreading the message of peace and love.

She said arranging discourse on Sufism was part of the institution`s work.

Writers Bano Qudsia, Baba Yayah, Dr Ajmal Niazi and others also attended the conference.
