Pakistan into Davis Cup Juniors final

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan booked a spot in the Davis Cup Juniors final after a hard fought 2-1 victory against Vietnam at Kuching, Malaysia on Friday.
The fourth day of the tournament saw an intense competition where, despite an initial setback, Pakistan mounted a strong comeback to seal their place in the finals.
In the first singles match, Vietnam`s Le Tien Anh drew first blood, defeating Pakistan`s Abubakar Talha 6-2, 6-3.
However, Pakistan quickly levelled the score in the second singles match, with Mikaeel Ali Baig dominating Tran Duc Minh 6-1, 6-3.
The decisive doubles match saw a stunning performance by the Pakistani duo Hamza Roman and Abubakar, who overwhelmed Le Tien and Vu Huy Hoang with a flawless 6-0, 6-0 victory.
President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, congratulated the team on their impressive performance and wished them the best for the final. `Focus on the final, and hopefully, you will bring home the victory. Our team is strong and well-balanced, he said.
Pakistan will battle against Indonesia for the Davis Cup Juniors title on Saturday.-APP
