Pak Army will chase terrorists even in Afghanistan, says railways minister

`We have taken over this project, and we will complete it in one and a half years,` he said.

R A W A L P I N D I : Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi on Friday said like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) terrorists will be chased in Balochistan. `If they go to Afghanistan, the army will go there to apprehend them.

Addressing media persons at Rawalpindi Railways Station, he also condemned those who made a mockery of the train tragedy. `The black sheep in the country tried to ridicule this tragedy and the nation recognized those enemy-like people`, said the minister while pointing towards political opponents.

He said the final list of the people who died or injured in the Jaffar Express tragedy will be released soon.`The enemies have attacked Pakistan and we will respond in a befitting manner,` he said.

The minister said that all Pakistanis are united against terrorists and we will give a befitting reply to those who are playing with the lives of innocent people. He said that Zarar Company has proudly raised Pakistan`s name in the world and the world is condemning the action of Balochistan Liberation Army (BL A).

`Women and children were used as shields, the response of the security forces was very timely.

Nine suicide bombers were neutralised by the commandos of the Zarar Company. The final figure of martyrs and injured will be made public soon, he said.

The railways minister reiterated to bring improvement in PakistanRailways. He said that Pakistan Railways have been directed to improve the punctuality of the train, cleanliness, and food quality which would be taken into consideration.

He highlighted that rail cargo facilitation will be taken from Gawadar to Karachi and then to Kohat. Pakistan Railways will start making profit from rail cargo service, he said. `IG Railways has been tasked to take steps aimed at improving vigilance on theft and smuggling of cargo`, he said.

About Main-Line One (ML-I), the minister said that double-track will be laid from Karachi to Peshawar. `If we did not get any support from donors, we will start the project with our own resources but it will be doubled soon,` he said.
