KARACHI: The general secretary of the Pakistan Medical Association, Karachi, on Monday said with the cooperation of the director general of Rangers and police officials, a joint emergency reporting and response centre (JERRC) was established at PMA House for complaining about extortion threats.
In a statement, Dr Qazi M. Wasiq said JERRC was manned by Rangers and police round-the-clock.
All doctors and medical professionals were requested to contact them in case they get any threat for extortion or any other kind of threat, he added.
The doctors have been advised to contact on these numbers: 32031148 and 32031149 in case of any threat.—PPI
