Balochistan MPA, 600 others booked

SUKKUR: A Balochitan minister and several PML-N leaders in Jacobabad were booked on charges of misusing loudspeakers to divide people on ethnic grounds at a gathering of the Abro community in Mohammad Akram Abro village within the remit of the Abad police station on Sunday.

The FIR (10/2014) was registered under sections 153A, 147, 149 and 4/3 of the Laudspeaker Act at the Abad police station of Jacobabad on Monday on behalf of the state against 500 to 600 persons who included Balochistan MPA Mir Abdul Majid Khan Abro (who had defeated PPP candidate Mohammad Sadiq Umrani in the recent elections), Mohammad Aslam Abro (who was defeated by PPP candidate Sardar Mohammad Muqeem Khan Khoso), Shehri Ittehad leader Mohammad Akram Abroand other prominent political figures of the area.
