TOBA TEK SINGH: Police have registered a blasphemy case under sections 295 A, B and C and 298-A of the Pakistan Penal Code against a woman of Faisalabad on the complaint of a private person.

The suspect, according to the complainant, posted a post laced with blasphemous content.

The post triggered aprotest in the locality, and a mob gathered outside her house and vandalised the house. They also damaged a car parked outside the house.

City Police Officer Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi arrived at the scene and announced appropriate action under the law.

Meanwhile, the crowd swelled. The Sargodha Road police, however, took the suspectinto custody and shifted her to an undisclosed location.
