The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has opened bids for awarding a contract to procure 8,000 refurbished Chromebooks. The lowest bid was around Rs11,000 against each refurbished gadget.

Recently, the FDE-run schools through another contract, which was executed by National Book Foundation (NBF), received 12,500 Chromebooks and out of which around 5,000 were supplied to schools.
