Murder suspect kidnapped, killed

TOBA TEK SINGH: A suspect in a murder case was kidnapped and murdered allegedly by his rivals at Mouza Nusratpur in Mianchannu tehsil in Khanewal district on Monday.

According to police sources, Manzar Abbas, a suspect in a murder case was granted prearrest temporary bail by the court of an additional district and sessions judge.

As he was returning home, he was kidnapped and bundled into a car by his rivals, who took him to their outhouse at Mauza Nusratpur, where they allegedly murdered him.

Talumba police say that thealleged kidnappers and killers of Abbas themselves informed them about his murder by calling on helpline 15.

A police team reached the outhouse and shifted the body to Mianchannu THQ hospital for autopsy.

The police have yet to register a murder case against the killers.

BOOKED: Police booked 15 persons, including six women for blocking FaisalabadSahiwal Road at Mushtaq Chowk in Samundri tehsil on Monday by setting used tyres on fire over a land dispute.

According to the FIR registered under sections 290 and 291ofthe PPC on the report of Sub-Inspector MuhammadIrshad stepbrothers Sabir and Mian Khan had a dispute over a piece of one acre land.

On Monday, Sabir group blocked the road for traffic by setting old tyres ablaze in protest against an alleged attempt by Mina Khan group to occupy the disputed land.

Police sources say that Mian Khan is already in jail in another case. Police claimed to have arrested one of the suspects.

ANIMALS BURNT: At least eight animals were burnt alive when unidentified persons allegedly set ablaze a cattle pen of a farmer at Mouza Jangle Imam Shah Wala in Pirmahal tehsil late on Sunday night.

Farmer Abbas told Arroutipolice that his three buffaloes and five goats were burnt alive in the fire, which was extinguished by locals.

He suspected that someone had intentionally set his cattle pen on fire. Police are investigating the matter.

CASE: Satiana police registered a case on Monday against 16 persons for murdering their four opponents on Sunday in Jaranwala tehsil.

Complainant Nadim Sajid of Chak 30 GB said in the FIR registered under sections 302, 324, 440, 109, 148 and 149 of the PPC that 12 nominated and four unidentified armed suspects led by Agib Ali Jutt opened indiscriminate fire on their vehicle, killing four occupants and injuringtwo others on Sunday.

He said that the victims and the attackers had an enmity since 2022 over the murder of one Mushtaq Ahmed.

Police are conducting raids to arrestthe suspects.

RELEASED: Faisalabad Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Iqbal Haral ordered release of 17 prisoners lodged in Faisalabad Central Jailin petty cases, against personalsuretybonds.

The judge, during his visit to the jail, also inspected the jail hospital, kitchen and barracks and questioned the prisoners about the facilities being provided to them. The AD&SJ was also accompanied by Civil Judge Sheikh Abdul Razzaq.
