DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A woman was killed while his husband narrowly escaped as their rivals opened fire on them over an old enmity, a police official said here on Sunday.
A Yarik police official said that a 29-year-old man named Arshad Shah Qureshi son of Gul Shah lodged a report in Yarik Police Station that he and his 30-yearold wife were returning home on a motorcycle in Wanda Kaali from Darra Pezu.
As they reached near Muslim petrol pump on Dera Ismail Khan-Bannu Road, their opponents Naimatullah and his son Ehsanullah residents of Chanda forcefully stopped them and opened fire. As a result, Arshad miraculously escaped but his wife died on the spot.
As soon as the incident was reported, A contingent of police along with a Rescue 1122 medical team reached the spot and shifted the dead body to the District Headquarters Teaching Hospital, Dera Ismail Khan.
Yarik police have registered a case and started investigation.
The police official says that the victims had an enmity over a murder with the accused. Correspondent
