UNLIKE the Punjab Public Service Commission which conducts PMS examinations annually on merit, the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) is plagued by corruption, foritcannot ñll vacantseats duringlastñve years.
Besides, candidates who applied for various posts (ASP, DSP, etc), announced by the SPSC last year, have not received any response. Screening tests, which were to be conducted on May 13, have been postponed till July on the pretext of overwhelming response.
Will such an institute be suddenly blessed by an avatar who would conduct a test on time? The Sindh government should ensure transparency in the SPSC`s recruitment processinstead ñllinginvacancies on the basis of political affiliation.
