IT has been observed during Ramazan that traffic flows smoothly on roads and streets without any disruption or traffic jam being caused. The main reason for this is the time difference of working hours of public and private of fices.
Before and af ter Ramazan, vehicles belonging to MNCs, public and private of fices, educational institutions and banks are one of the major reasons for traffic congestion.
The working hours` time difference during Ramazan avoids traf fic chaos and helps traffic sergeants who perform their thankless job in the scorching sun and highly-polluted atmosphere.
I appeal to provincial legislators and bureaucrats in general and the inspector general of traffic police in particular for the lawful implementation of Ramazan working hours` time difference to be practiced round the year.
