By Tariq Naqash 2016-07-15
MUZAFFARABAD: PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Thursday once again fired a volley of allegations against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his PML-N, and asl(ed the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to vote for the PPP in the upcoming polls to pave the way for the downfall of the federal government.

Speaking at a rally in the town of Rawalakot, he said the PPP considered Kashmir as one of the most important issues, but it existed nowhere in the PMLN`s policy.

He alleged that Mr Sharif was a friend of his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, the man in whose rule massacres, molestation of womenfolk and other severe human rights violations at the hands of Indian security forces were order of the day.

`If Nawaz Sharif wins these strategically important elections through his traditional machinations, the world will get a message that Sharif-Modi friendship enjoys support of the Kashmiri people, he remarked.

He said apart from unleashing atrocities on Kashmiris, India had also launched water terrorism by constructing one after the other dams in held Kashmir and `silence` of Mr Sharif was enough to suggest that Modi benefited of the former`s silent support in this regard.Mr Sharif issued a statement on the mass murder of innocent Kashmiris af ter four days, he said.

Emphatically saying that the PPP stood for a plebiscite in Kashmir, Mr BhuttoZardari regretted that the UN and Britain forgot their commitments to hold a plebiscite in held Kashmir and honour the verdict of the Kashmiri people.

Listing BISP, Gwadar Port, CPEC, Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline etc., he said these projects were initiated by the PPP while the PML-N had given nothing but Metro project.

`Neither you were a leader nor you are aleader.Instead, you arejust a businessman who cares about his personal interests,` he said.

Regarding the energy crisis in the coun-try, he said over the last three years PML-N government had not produced a single megawatt of electricity.

`People are suffering but Mian sahib is more concerned about LNG commission.... unmindful of the problems of public, he is busy securing the offshore companies of his children,` he said.

He also lashed at the government`s `failed agriculture policy` which he said had ruined the agriculture sector and farmers.

`You are doing this because you want to import agriculture products from India,` he alleged.

He said since the NFC award had ended in 2015 the budget presented without a new NFC award was unconstitutional and an attack on provincial autonomy.`That`s why I say Noon League in actually Nakaam (failed) League,` he said.

Mr Bhutto-Zardari also poured scorn on former AJK premier Barrister Sultan Mahmood, terming him a `habitual turncoat` and `vagabond.

He admitted that there might have been mistakes by the PPP government in AJK, but vowed that from now on he would himself talce care of everything.

Others who spoke at the rally were leader of the opposition Syed Khurshid Shah, MNA Faryal Talpur Jehangir Badar, Shehla Raza and local PPP leaders.

Earlier in the day, the PPP chairman also spoke to the APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq by telephone and condoled with him on the killing of innocent Kashmiri people.
