PESHAWAR: A local court on Thursday convicted two persons of sexually assaulting a minor boy of seven and sentenced them each to 10 years rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs100,000.
Additional district and sessions judge Usman Wali pronounced that the prosecution had proved its case against the two accused named Gul Hameed and Riaz Gul and the evidence on record was enough for their conviction.
Deputy public prosecutorSifatullah Khan stated that on Sept 30, 2014 the victim was returning from school when the two accused forcibly took him away in a rickshaw in Hazar Khwani area and then sexually abused him.
The complainant in the case was father of the victim who had informed the police about the occurrence.
The prosecutor stated that both the accused were charged under Section 377, 511 and 34 of Pakistan Penal Code.
He added that the child had identified both the accused persons.
