he first of many fareweII parties for Kuwaiti Ambassador Nawaz Al-Enzy, whose deployment in Pakistan is ending at the end of the month was held at the Marriot Hotel. Most guests wore traditional Arab dresses and among those attending were the manager of Kuwait Airways and the head of a Kuwaiti NGO in Pakistan.
The ambassador was gifted a beautiful, framed calligraphy piece on a large canvas and in gold letters, of an Arabic poem by Dr Ali Earoom.
The ambassador said he was sad at leaving Pakistan, a country him and his family had enjoyed for many years.
`We will make a short visit home in Kuwait and then on to Armenia, which is my next duty station,` the envoy said.
`Armenian winters are a bit colder than Pakistan`s,` a diplomat from another country joked, `but for a Kuwaiti, that is alright because of the heat and the warm weather at home`.
