ISLAMABAD: While Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi congratulated the nation on Independence Day, party`s Information Secretary Raoof Hasan said the nation demands `Haqeeqi Azadi`.

Mr Qureshi on Monday congratulated the nation on the 76th Independence Day, hoping that the PTl workers would celebrate the day with renewed enthusiasm and spirit as per the desire of their leader Imran Khan.

In his message, he hoped that being a democratic and patriotic party of the country, the PTl would celebrate the Independence Day in a befitting manner across the country.

He said PTl had a special status and a place in all four federating units, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

However, Raoof Hasan said the demand of the people of Pakistan was Hadeeqi Azadi, `not slave but a free Pakistan`.

In a message, he said people of Pakistan demanded real independence, a country where justice prevailed.

Mr Hasan said he wanted a Pakistan where education, health and employment opportunities were available.

He said the countrymen demanded a country where those in power were the custodians of self-respect of humans.
