Public safety commission set up in Buner

BUNER: The provincial government has set up district public safety commission here and the district council members nominated by the district nazim and recommended by the scrutiny committee have been appointed as its members.
According to a notification issued by the Home and Tribal Affairs Department issued on Thursday, in pursuance of Section 53 of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act2017 the provincial government has established the district public safety commission, Buner, and appointed members of the district council nominated by the district nazim and independent people recommended by the scrutiny committee as members of the commission for a period of three years.
It said that the independent members should constitute the commission when the district members were not in existence as per Section 57(9) of the law. Members of the district council nominated for the commission include Adnan Bacha, Rozi Shah, Mohammad Afsar Khan and Ms Aasia Bibi. Retired civil servants Bakht Rawan, Sultan Zeb, Sharif Khan and Sahib Zada and representatives from civil society Zar Bahesht, Abdul Wakeel, Yousaf Ali, Abdur Rahman Abid and Mrs Razia Akhtar were also picked up as members of the commission.
Meanwhile, All Employees Coordination Council on Thursday staged a demonstration to record their protest against the Myanmar forces` atrocities on innocent Rohingya Muslims.
The protesting employees took out a procession from the district secretariat and marched through the BunerMardan road.
Speaking to the protesters, Raz Mohammad, Wazir Zada and Bacha Khan announced to donate their salaries to help save the Rohingya Muslim children and women from the atrocities of Myanmar forces.
