LAHORE: The National Transmission and Despatch Company Ltd (NTDC) on Wednesday re-energised the Port Qasim-Matiari and Sibi-Quetta transmission lines after completing the necessary rehabilitation work.

Five towers of the 500kV Port Qasim-Matiari transmission line were affected due to heavy windstorms near Nooriabad, Jamshoro district of Sindh in the first week of September, the NTDC spokesman said. On the 220kV Sibi-Quetta transmission line, he said 10 of its towers had collapsed in Bibi Nani.-Staf f Reporter
