There is no doubt the peace and prosperity of Pakistan lies in peace in Karachi.
The authorities should realise that no matter how many operations are launched to restore law and order, and administrative measures are taken to increase the numbers of the police and Rangers posted in the city, peace will not fully return to Karachi until this city is completely deweaponised.One fails to understand that law-abiding citizens are asked to surrender their licensed firearms, while criminals are still free to spread mayhem with their illegal weapons.
The only solution is to deweaponise the entire city. Only the police, Rangers and other law enforcement agencies should be allowed to keep arms.
