Dengue patients continue to arrive in hospitals

RAWALPINDI: As many as 87 dengue patients landed in the three government-run hospitals on Monday, taking the tally of cases in the current season to 2,823.

A total of 402 people arrived in the hospitals in the last 24 hours, out of which 87 were confirmed denguepatients.

As of Monday, 252 patients were admitted to hospitals, out of whom 46 were in Holy Family Hospital, 51 in Rawalpindi Teaching Hospital, 76 in Benazir Bhutto Hospital, 36 in Fauji Foundation Hospital, one in Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Taxila and 42 were under treatment in private hospitals.

Most of the patientsarrived from Dhamial, Dhoke Munshi, Chak Jalal Din, Rehmatabad, Girja,Raniyal,DhokeKashmirian, New Parrian, Shakrial, Dhoke Kala Khan, Chah Sultan, Amarpura, Chamanzar, Dhoke Hassu, Peshawar Road, Afshan Colony, Dhoke Syedan, Gulistan Colony, Dheri Hassanabad, Tench Bhatta, Adra and adjoining areas of Rawalpindi and Chaklala cantonments.

According to official figures, adenguepatient was critical while the remaining were getting treatment at government-run hospitals in the garrison city.
