7,206 nomination papers filed for local bodies polls

QUETTA: As many as 7,206 nomination papers have been filed by candidates to contest election on 4,788 reserved seats for women, farmers, labourers and minorities in local bodies institutions of 32 districts of Balochistan.
According to a statement by the provincial Election Commission, 3,263 nomination papers have been filed for 2,082 reserved seats of women.
It said that 1,820 papers have been filed for 902 reserved seats of farmers, 1,807 papers for 902 seats of workers and 316 papers for 902 seats of non-Muslims.
According to the schedule, returning officers will scrutinise the nomination papers from Nov 15 to 17.
