CHAKWAL: A young man was shot dead along with a woman in the Chakki Rangpur village of Kallar Kahar, police said on Sunday.

The police said the woman had gone to meet the man in a deserted compound on Friday night. They were sitting there when the male members of the woman`s family opened indiscriminate fires on them.

As a result, the man and the woman, both in their 20s, died on the spot.

The family members of the man have not filed any application with the police for the registration of a case. `We have registered a case on our own and started efforts to trace the killers who have not been nominated,` Station House Officer Tahir Mahmood told Dawn. Correspondent
