KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon on Wednesday lauded the welfare projects of the United Arab Emirates in the province following unprecedented monsoon rains and floods.

Speaking at an event on thalassemia awareness organised by the UAE Consulate General here, he also praised the contribution of the Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation for serving those who`re suffering from the severe disease.

The minister also thanked the UAE government and Consul General Bakheet Ateeg Al-Remeithi for their efforts for relief and rehabilitation of floodhit people of Sindh.

Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah also attended the event.
