DCs asked to clear design committee cases by Tuesday

RAWALPINDI: Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Engineer Aamir Khattak has directed deputy commissioners to clear district planning and design committee cases by Tuesday.
Besides, assistant commissioners should also provide detailed reports regarding NOCs issued for setting up petrol pumps.
Commissioner directed that there should be no complaint about late reporting in the office of revenue officers in any tehsil.
Moreover, deputy commissioners should review the performance of all allied departments for the last one month and ensure that they follow the SOPs issued by the government to bring relief to the public.
Besides, deputy commissioners should ensure the supply of essential commodities in their districts in the required quantity and at government notified rates.
The commissioner was briefed that 46 price magistrates conducted 2,326 inspections in the last 24 hours. During this time, 29 complaints of overcharging came up against which action was taken and a fine of Rs119,000 was imposed.
In this review meeting of the Divisional Coordination Committee held at Commissioner Office Rawalpindi, Director General RDA Kinza Murtaza, Director General PHA Ahmed Hasan Ranjha and heads of other allied departments attended the meeting whereas deputy Commissioners Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal and Murree participated through video link.
Commissioner Rawalpindi further said that the performance indicators of district administration set by Chief Minister Punjab and Chief Secretary Punjab including street lights, stray dogs, manhole covers, price control, filtration plants, wall chalking, clean punjab, cleanliness and beautification of the city, anti-encroachment and other public welfare works should be expedited.
He directed deputy commissioner Murree to keep his preparations complete regarding the forecast of snowfall in Murree in the coming days.
Ensure the attendance of staff at the facilitation centres established for tourists and provide them with all necessary facilities so that they can perform their duties diligently.
