Khattak claims he enjoys support of independent candidates

CHARSADDA: Pakistan Tehreek-iInsaf-Parliamentarians (PTI-P) central leader Pervez Khattak has said that no one can stop him from becoming next chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He claimed that majority of independent candidates backed by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) were his friends and would support him as next chief minister after winning the elections.

He was addressing a public meeting in Gulabad area of Sardheri. The meetingwas also addressed by PTI-P candidate for NA-25 Malak Falak Naz and candidate for PK-64 Wali Mohammad.

Mr Khattak said despite having government in centre, PTI failed to give due rights to KP. He said that the country was indebted owing to incompetent rulers.

He said that people were paying for the debts of corrupt rulers. He added that only an honest leader could put the country on track of development.

Hesaid that allleadersincludingMian Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Imran Khan causeddamage to the country. He said that PTI got votes in the name of change but its later Imran Khan forgot the promises made with the people.

`During PTI government, we were dealing with a madman in the form of Imran Khan. During the PTI government, there was a shortage of dollars in the country and the highest loans were taken from IMF during the tenure of Imran Khan,` said Mr Khattak.

He said that religious parties wanted to reach Islamabad instead of implementing Islamic Sharia system. He said as chief minister, he built mosques and started stipends for prayer leaders to bring them into mainstream and end their deprivation.

Mr Khattak said that Pakhtuns were being killed in Afghanistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but nobody raised voice for them.

PTI: Serious differences have sur-faced in local chapter of PTI over award of ticket for provincial assembly seat, PK-64.

PTI leader Iftharullah said that if he was not given party ticket then he would contest elections as independent candidate besides holding protest in front of the residence of party chairman Barrister Gohar.

Addressing a press conference here, he said that former MNA Fazal Mohammad Khan was using his influence to award party ticket to Fazal Khan for NA-25 and PK-64 to his son-in-law Hamza Naseer with the connivance of PTI provincial president Ali Amin Gandapur and former provincial minister Atif Khan.

He said that sincere workers were ignored. He said that workers were supporting him. He added that he would fight in every situation and would gift this seat to Imran Khan.
