Four terrorists killed in N. Waziristan, says ISPR

PESHAWAR: Four terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan district on Wednesday, the military`s media wing said.
A statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) against terrorists in the Spinwam area.
It said security personnel effectively engaged the terrorists and killed four of them during an intense exchange of fire.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from those killed in the operation, the ISPR said.
They were actively involved in numerous activities against members of security forces and targeted killing of civilians, it added.
It said that sanitisation operation was being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as security forces were determined to wipe out the menace of militancy from the country.
