Capacity-building training for customs prosecutors concludes

KARACHI: A three-day training programme aimed at enhancing the capacity of customs prosecutors concluded here on Wednesday.

The training was conducted by the Ministry of Law and Justice in collaboration with the Federal Board of Revenue on the instruction of the prime minister.

The first two training sessions under the programme were held in Islamabad and Lahore, which also cateredto participants from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and GilgitBaltistan, said a press release.

It said that this event marks the final training of the series. The training brought together experts and participants dedicated to strengthening legal practices in customs enforcement.

The training sessions covered various critical topics, providing participants with invaluable knowledge and skills.

The programme included sessions on trade-based money laundering, offering insights into the intersection of financial crimes and customs activities.
