Boy dies after falling into brick kiln

KASUR: An eightyear-old boy was burnt alive at a brick kiln on Wednesday in the limits of Mandi Usmanwala police station.
According to police, Ayan, whose parents worked at the brick kiln, was roasting potatoes at one of the points at the kiln, when he suddenly fell into the fire. As a result, he suffered critical burns.
He was being rushed to hospital when he succumbed to his burns.
Police handed over the boy`s body to his bereaved family after completing legal formalities and started a probe.
TRADER KILLED: Robbers allegedly gunned down a trader for offering resistance on Wednesday on Saidpur Road, in the limits of Khudian police station.The police said Noor Rehman, a trader belonging to Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was traveling by his car on Saidpur Road, when he was intercepted by four unidentified armed robbers.
He was shot fatally by one of the robbers when he offered resistance.
The robbers then fled away with Rs1.3 million cash, his cell phone and other valuables. Police are looking into the matter.
In another incident,two robbers shot at and seriously injured a man on offering resistance during a highway robbery on KanganpurChunian road, in the limits of Chunian police station.
The injured man was identified as Latif, a watchman at commission shop at Kanganpur grain market.
