I REFER to an advertisement about the `Hungarian scholarships programme`.
I suggest that all medical issues, industrial issues and agricultural issues must be forwarded to the Higher Education Commission since it is the HEC which is the focal body that oversees candidates for bachelor`s, master`s and PhD studies.
It is the HEC which must circulate such offers to medical, engineering and agriculture sectors seeking their input regarding research and, accordingly, chalkout criteria affecting the economic development of Pakistan.
This can really serve the purpose of research after benefiting from Hungarian support, otherwise it will be mere awarding degrees to Pakistani scholars without impact on the economic betterment of Pakistan.
The issues demanding special attention that must be particularly focused upon by the HEC are energy, fatal diseases and pesticides and seeds affecting the health of crops in Pakistan.
