LAHORE: Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman has assigned the responsibilities to all relevant departments to hold the National Horse and Cattle Show on March 10.

He was presiding over a meeting at the Civil Secretariat on Wednesday to review arrangements for the horse and cattle show.

The additional chief secretary, Board of Revenue senior member, administrative secretaries of various departments, commissioner, CCPO and the officers concerned attended the meeting.

The CS said the Horse and Cattle Show was areflection of national solidarity and unity, adding the event decorated with the colours of regional culture would be organised from March 10 to 12.

He directed that the best arrangements be made for the event and there should be no traffic problem during the horse and cattle show and PSL matches. He said an alternate route must be provided before starting any development work.

The local government secretary briefed the meeting that the colours of the culture of all provinces would be presented in the horse and cattle show and an industrial exhibition would also be organised in addition to various floats and traditional sports.
