DADU: Police on Thursday registered a case against eight suspects on charges of torturing a 12-year-old boy over suspicions he had stolen a water pumping machine in TB hospital area in the jurisdiction of B-Section police station a day ago.

Ms Dhayani Siyal, grandmother of the victim lhrar Siyal lodged an FIR against Shahbaz Channa, Habib Solangi, Zulfiqar, Sono Dawachh, Samar Gopang and three unknown persons, under Section 382/A, 342 PPC for torturing her grandson.

She stated in the FIR that the suspects subjected her grandson to severe beating after tying him up and left him for dead when he fell unconscious. Three of the suspects had already been arrested in the limits of B-Section police station, said police officials.

Dadu SSP Shabbir Ahmed Sethar formed a team led by Dadu DSP and SHO of City police station to investigate the incident.
