TAXILA: Advisor to the Prime Minister on Legal Affairs Barrister Ageel Malik said on Saturday that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan wants to involve the army in politics by writing letter.

Talking to newsmen, Ageel Malik took a jibe at the PTI founder, saying, `Seems as if the PTI founder`s next letter will be written for United States President Donald Trump,` and predicted that he would also get any answer from as well.

`For how long will the double standards in politics by the PTI leadership be continue? Putting aside the letters, there is a need to think about the well being of the masses,` said Malik.

He added that the PTI founder repeatedly sought to resolve party issues through letters, but this initiative tuned outtobefruitless.

He further emphasised that the PTI must move away from the politics of writing letters and play a constructive role in the country`s progress, rather than merely criticising the government. `Army has frequently mentioned that it has nothing to do with politics,` he said.

Earlier, Mr Malik performed the groundbreaking ceremony of a sports complex in Taxila. The sports complex over an area of 22 kanal will provide indoor and outdoor sports facilities to the people.

Speaking on this occasion, member of Punjab assembly Mohsin Ayub hinted for establishment of another sports complex in the city during the next fiscal year to provide better sports and recreation facilities to the youth of the area.
