Two-day festival showcasing women entrepreneurship opens

ISLAMABAD: The twoday Islamabad Women Gala kicked off on Saturday at Lok Virsa, turning the venue into a bustling hub of creativity, entrepreneurship and community spirit.

The event, organised by Lets Grow Together, is dedicated to empowering women by providing them with a platform to showcase their talents, expand their businesses and connect with a wider audience.

With over 120 womenentrepreneurs, artisans and innovators from across Pakistan, the festival presents an exclusive display of made-in Pakistan products ranging from handmade jewellery, textiles and organic skincare products to artisanal food, home decors and fashion accessories. The event is not just a marketplace but a movement toward financial independence for women, emphasising the importance of supportinglocal businesses.

The event`s slogan, `Buy from your own people`, reinforces the importance of investing in local talent and craftsmanship.

A large number of visitors were seen exploring the diverse stalls, interacting with entrepreneurs and enjoying live demonstrations of traditional crafts.

The food arena attracted food lovers with its mouthwatering selection of traditional and fusion cuisineswhile children delighted in creative activities, fun games and interactive workshops.

Sadia Malik, a visitor, said it is amazing to see such a well-organised event where women entrepreneurs are getting the recognition they deserve.

`I have bought some beautiful handmade jewel1ery and organic skincare products. It feels great to support these talented women.

Zainab Ahmed praised the variety of activities and said, `This event is a perfeet weekend outing. There is something for everyone including shopping, food, kids` activities and even live demonstrations. It`s a wonderful initiative that should happen more often.

With a lively atmosphere, an impressive lineup of vendors, and a strong message of empowerment, the gala is proving to be a must-visit event.

According to the organisers, the event is a celebration of women`s resilience and creativity, aiming to provide home-based entrepreneurs with the visibility and support they need to grow their businesses.
