TOBA TEK SINGH: A man has been murdered over old enmity at Umair Town on the Sargodha Road, Faisalabad, on Saturday.

Reports said Asad Abbas Butt was going to his shop by his car when three brothers, Muhammad Bilal, Muhammad Asif and Abdul Jabbar, of Mustafabad locality and their four unidentified accomplices opened indiscriminate fire on his car. As a result, he was critically injured. Butt was shifted to the Allied Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Millat Town police said Ali Haider, a brother of the suspects, was murdered in Bahawalpur sometime ago and Asad Abbas Butt was nominated in the murder case.

SUSPENDED: The Jaranwala superintendent of police suspended in-charge of Jassoana police post ASI Muhammad Aslam.

A press release said the ASI interfered with a family function at Chak 114-GB, Jaranwala without informing his higher-ups. Meanwhile, CPO S ahibzada Bilal Umar conducted a surprise visit to Dijkot Police Station and inspected record and front desk. He suspended the muharrar for negligence.

Also at Dijkot, an 11-year-old girl, Hafsa Bibi, was injured seriously in celebratory fire at Chak 261-RB at a wedding. Police arrested the suspect, Abdul Ghaffar.

SUICIDE: A youth committed suicide at Chak 21-GB, Jaranwala.

Reports said Imran Rashid (21) had quarreled with his parents over a monetary issue. He locked himself in a room of his house and shot himself dead.

Meanwhile, a watchman of the Kabirwala Judicial Complex at Khanewal was found dead in his room in the complex. The body of deceased Faisal Sial (45) was shifted to the Kabirwala THQ Hospital for an autopsy.

KIDNAPPED: A married woman was kidnapped in Gojra.

Complainant Shahid Mahmood of Chak 179-GB Gogha claimed in his FIR that his wife went to Gojra for shopping from where unidentified persons abducted her. Gojra Saddar police are investigating.
