PESHAWAR: A soldier was killed and three others were injured in a roadside bomb explosion in the Shawal area of North Waziristan Agency on Tuesday.

Officials said the troops were patrolling the area before a military convoy was scheduled to pass through when the bomb went off.

A soldier die d on the spot while three others were injured.

Security forces have launched the last phase of Zarb-i-Azb operation in Shawal which is adjacent to Afghanistan.
