THE other day Umar Haq, 12, went to explore the Safari Park as a matter of routine, but unfortunately he met with an accident and fell in the lake. At the spot there was no one who could rescue him, but after sometime the operation started. When the sun was about to set, the divers suspended the search as it was getting dark and the father was told that the body would come up itself. This is the most unfortunate response ever to such a situation.
The park management does not have a rescue team which could have saved the boy while the navy divers refused to continue the search as it was getting dark. The KMC diver didn`t have equipment.
The management should have a rescue team which can handle such cases. The fence height should be raised and other steps be taken to prevent such incidents.
